Our School Mission is “Building a Community of 21st Century Learners.”


John Jay Elementary School is a Pre-K through 5th grade elementary school located in Mount Prospect, Illinois. At John Jay, our students receive a high quality education. Our school has been recognized for its academic program and achievements. In 2013, John Jay was the recipient of the Illinois Honor Roll Academic Achievement Award.  We are committed to promoting student learning and academic growth, enhancing social skills and emotional well-being, developing physical health, encouraging problem solving and critical thinking, and inspiring creativity.

Our dedicated and outstanding staff is collectively committed to ensuring the John Jay mission: To Build a Community of 21st Century Learners, where each child will learn and grow intellectually and socially.  Our staff fosters a safe and supportive environment through our PBIS program, where our students celebrate being Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Ready to Learn. We focus our instruction on 21st century skills and provide exciting and challenging opportunities of learning for all students so that our students will be prepared to be successful for life.
